Mario Berninzoni
Mario Berninzoni- Executive Director, Arundel House of Hope

Mario Berninzoni, a California native, has more than 20 years experience working with the poor and homeless populations in Maryland. As Executive Director of Arundel House of Hope, Mario oversees all aspects of the organization and its programs. Prior to being appointed Executive Director in 1999, he worked with Catholic Charities in Baltimore City with its emergency, transitional, and permanent housing programs for 7 years. Mario has his Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from the College of Notre Dame.

Phil Bailey
Phil Bailey – Program Director, Winter Relief & Day & Resource Center

Phil Bailey has been working with Arundel House of Hope in various capacities since its inception in 1992. He has managed the Winter Relief Program as Program director since 1997 and assumed the additional role of Director of the Resource and Day Center in 2006. In this capacity he is responsible for development of program policies, regulation, and procedures as well as volunteer and case management for both the Winter Relief Program and the Resource and Day Center. Prior to joining Arundel House of Hope full time, Phil spent 20 years with Giant Foods as Retail and Operation Manager. He has been an active member in the Anne Arundel County Community as a Volunteer and Board Member for St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church and as a frequent speaker on homelessness in the county. In addition Phil spent time in the Gulf coast region after Hurricane Katrina. Phil attended the University of Maryland College Park where he majored in General Studies.

Ray Kyler - Resident Manager, Patriot House

Ray Kyler joined Arundel House of Hope with the opening of The Fouse Center Transitional Housing Program in 2000.  Previously, Ray was with Sarah’s House in Maryland where he worked with homeless women and children. Ray worked at Christopher’s Place, a Catholic Charity’s Men’s Employment and Addiction Program in Baltimore. Ray has also worked with the Women’s Detention Center managing addiction education groups. Ray obtained his professional licensure in Counseling & Therapy for Alcohol & Drug Addicts through Baltimore City Community. His future career aspirations include expanding his training and certification to conduct Drug and Alcohol Addiction Counseling with the HIV/AIDS community in Maryland.

Doug
Douglas Sanders – Resident Manager Fouse Center, Maintenance

As the resident manager for The Fouse Center, Douglas works to assure the successful functioning of the program and facilities and also conducts life skill support groups and other weekly meetings.

Brianne
Brianne Adams- Director of Support Services

Brianne Adams joined Arundel House of Hope in August, 2007 as an intern. She joined the staff of the organization in December of 2007. She spent the first few years at the organization working primary with the Day and Resource Center, The Wish Safe Haven and The Doughy Dog- the organizations Supportive Employment business. In 2010 Ms. Adams relocated to The Fouse Center- Transitional home for men after receiving her state certification in Addictions Counseling. In October of 2011, Brianne became The Director of Support Services for the non-profit, overseeing the quality of outcomes in each program.

Marsha Urban
Marsha Urban- Case Manager

Marsha began her association with Arundel House of Hope in 1994 when her church, The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, came on board as a Winter Relief church. In 2006, after retiring from a teaching career of thirty five years, she became a volunteer at the Day and Resource Center. This lead to becoming a case manager at the Center. Currently Marsha oversees six houses in our housing program;she also recruits and organizes church volunteers to participate in fund raising and other community service events. She attends and presents at both the Maryland Capital Campaign, and the Combined Federal Campaign. She uses her former teaching experience to supervise interns from Anne Arundel Community College who are enrolled in the Human Services Program.

Asia Wood
Asia Wood - Case Manager, WISH, Day Center

Asia Wood joined the Arundel House of Hope in December of 2008, after successfully completing a Human Services internship with Anne Arundel Community College.  Since joining the dedicated case management team, Asia’s focus has been on empowering the clients of the Day Center with the resources that surround them. Resources that clients have benefited from thus far include, stress management, smoking cessation, HIV & AIDS prevention and treatment education, and employment services.  Asia currenlty oversees the Homeless Preventoin and Rapid Re-Housing Program HPRP.  In addition to providing case management to the Day Center clients, Asia also serves as outreach worker to clients that have obtained housing in an effort to avoid homelessness in the future.

Christian
Christian Noll - Coordinator, Day Center

Christian Noll began his association with the Arundel House of Hope as an intern in Spring of 2010. He was hired to be the Day Center Coordinator in September of 2010. In this capacity he has overseen a reworking of AHOH policies and procedures concerning the Day and Resource Center and actively involved in case management responsibilities.

Karen
Karen Biagiotti - Director, House of Hope Medical Clinic

Karen Biagiotti began volunteering at Arundel House of Hope in May of 2006. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and is a member of The State of MD Chiropractic and Massage Therapy Board. Her role with AHOH has expanded to Co-Director of The Winter Relief Program and Director of the House of Hope Medical Clinic. Development of the free medical clinic began in January 2009 with the guidance of ECHO(Empowering Church Healthcare Outreach). Karen has a strong community connection to Glen Burnie and believes that it is our calling as Christians to love, honor, and support those in need.

Luray Mann
Luray Mann – Fouse Center Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Luray has been a dedicated and valuable employee with Arundel House of  Hope since 2005.  In addition to her duties at The Fouse Center, she also serves as Recording Secretary for the Board of Directors.  Luray also attends The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, which is a Winter Relief participating church.

Kim Palmer
Kim Palmer - Resident Manager, The Safe Haven I Permanent Housing Program

I came into Arundel House of Hope by way of the Transitional Housing Program at the Fouse Center in 2004. After two and a half months I was ushered into the Community Housing Program. In 2006, I received the invitation to become the Resident Manager of Safe Haven I. Over the past few years I have learned to do much at the Safe Haven and at the Day and Resource Center. My short term goal is to be proficient at Case Management.

Oliver
Oliver Sellman - Resident Manager, The Safe Haven II Permanent Housing Program

I came to the Arundel House of Hope seeking help through the Winter Relief Program in 2008. I was eventually offered the opportunity in the Work Shop Program for the Doughy Dog Enterprise. After six weeks training in Doughy Dog workshop, I accepted the Part-time position as General Cashier/Maintenance which led to Full-Time Manager. One year later, I became the Residential Manager of the Safe Haven II Permanent Housing Program. I also serve as Operational Support Staff at the Day and Resource Center. I enjoy my work.

Arlene
Arlene Scott - Resident Manager, W.I.S.H. Permanent Housing Program

I am thankful to God for He has favored me with the opportunity to serve as Resident Manager at WISH House I since August of 2009; as an Intake Worker beginning 2009 Winter Relief season; as a member of the Board of Director’s beginning October 2010; and recently in the field of Case Management at the Arundel House of Hope Day and resource Center. It is wonderful to work with such a great team of individuals for such a time as this.

Susan Bagley
Susan Bagley- Resident Manager, Commnity Housing II Program

Susan Bagley has been the clinic coordinator of the Arundel House of Hope Medical Clinic since November 2010 until now. Previously, she managed The Doughy Dog Social Enterprise and is currently the resident manager of the Serenity House.

Arlene
Glen DePaola-Resident Manager, Community Housing II Program

I came to the Arundel House of Hope as a resident of the Fouse Centerin 2008. After completing that program, I moved into their Community Housing Program before being offered the job of resident manager in their Community Housing 11 Program. Went to the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland in 1982 has had career on the radio for several stations. I am looking to further my education to become an addictions counselor, so I can help others to have the same quality of life I have achieved since becoming clean and sober.

Ronnie Vaugh
Ronnie Vaughn - Program Aide, Fouse Center

I came to the Arundel House of Hope initially as a resident of the Fouse Center. After 18 months in the Transitional Housing Program, I received the invitation to utilize my skills in a full-time staff position as Program Aide, first at the Fouse Center and later at the Arundel House of Hope Day and Resource Center. I am also a Veteran of the United States Army and am quaified to continue my Program Aide Duties at the Patriot House. I am looking forward to working with the homeless veterans.

Letha Kitt
Letha Kitt - Program Aide, The Resource and Day Center

I came to the Arundel House of Hope in July 2009 as a volunteer. After one year of voluntary service, I became a full-time employee of the Doughy Dog Enterprise as a cashier. This led to a Full-time Staff position at the Day and Resource Center beginning with the 2010 Winter Relief. In addition to maintaining Front Desk operations I am currently responsible for the data entry and data monitoring of our client database.
