Join us for an exciting art experience
Arundel House of Hope is excited to host two community art workshops for our participants and community supporters, made possible by a generous grant from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County. The project will culminate in a collaborative art installation in the Resource and Day Center courtyard.
We invite AHOH participants, guests, volunteers, supporters, and community members to join us for the workshops, which will be held on December 19, 2024, and January 14, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at 7164 E. Furnace Branch Rd, Glen Burnie, MD 21060. Refreshments will be served.
No art experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome! Participants will create individual components of a mural and multi-dimensional totem poles, which will later be combined to form a larger, unified art piece. The completed project will be installed in the courtyard in the spring.
Art has the power to foster belonging, identity, and community. This is particularly true for individuals experiencing homelessness, who often face stigma and alienation from the community. Our community art project will build connections, friendships, and a sense of belonging.
At Arundel House of Hope, we strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals feel safe, welcomed, and supported. The completed art installation will beautify our space and foster belonging for all who enter our Resource and Day Center. We hope you will join us for this exciting project.
Please contact Dawn for more information, RSVP, or inquire about volunteering at the workshops.
