volunteers make sheltering people experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel county possible

Winter Relief

The Winter Relief season has come to an end. We’d like to thank the many faith communities that have dedicated their time and resources to provide shelter, food, companionship, and guidance to the Winter Relief guests. Your countless hours of volunteer service are a true testament of love and commitment to our community!

During this, our 31st year of Winter Relief, we helped over 40 guests move into stable housing. Other participants have received shelter beds at the other permanent shelters and transitional housing programs. Our dedicated team of case managers continue to work tirelessly to help those in need find housing and safe shelter. This has been a great accomplishment, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our Winter Relief partners!

The Warming Center

The Warming Center has been operating at full capacity this winter on nights when the weather is especially cold or dangerous. We have seen record numbers come into the program and it has provided comfort for many of those in need. This program has quickly become an important service to people experiencing homelessness and will most likely expand next year.
